
Unlike the University Colleges, which provide full board as well as pastoral and academic support to their residents, the self-catered accommodation at UNSW is geared towards independent living for undergraduates and postgraduates including couples and families with children. In the shared apartments tenants are expected to share responsibility for cleaning the units and meeting utility costs. All of the self-catered accommodation at UNSW is within easy reach of the city centre, the Eastern Suburbs beaches, major shopping areas and main bus routes.
The popular, modern, fully furnished UNSW Student Apartments (Barker, Mulwarre and 46 High St.) managed by Accommodation Services, are located both on and close to campus. In comparison with rental charges for local private accommodation, the rents for the university apartments are very competitive. The waiting list for these units is open all year round and rooms are allocated on a 'first come first served' basis.
UniLodge, offer modern accommodation five minutes from UNSW designed to provide a secure and comfortable living environment for 230 students. The fully furnished, serviced apartments range in size from studios to five bedrooms located close to local shops, bank and public transport routes.

The New College Village provides brand new, high quality, fully furnished accommodation for postgraduates and selected undergraduates. It is a community of over 300 people living and learning together; a place concerned about the intellectual, social and spiritual development of its residents.
From January 2010, UNSW Village will provide brand new, on-campus accommodation designed specifically for the student lifestyle. Stylish, fully furnished one to eight bedroom apartments will provide refreshing spaces for both studying and socialising. Facilities will include a café, convenience store, e-library, laundry and more. Applications are now open!
